At this time, I would like to tell you about my trip to tidung island, a while ago. Tidung island located at thousand islands, Province of DKI Jakarta. It wasn’t too far from Jakarta, you can go there by using a wooden ship from Ancol harbour or Muara Angke harbour, It takes about 3 hours from Ancol harbour and about 2,5 hours from Muara Angke harbour. But it will be shorter when using a special boat.
After arrived, tidung island greeted visitors with this view. Wow… what a beautifull welcoming!
Tidung island divided into two : tidung besar island (besar ‘Indonesian’=big) and tidung kecil island (kecil ‘Indonesian’= small). Tidung besar island occupied by about 4.000 people and it’s became one of the most populated island at the thousand islands. Whereas, tidung kecil island not occupied at all. There’s a bridge to connect tidung besar island and tidung kecil island. The local citizen named it “Jembatan Cinta (bridge of love)”. Then, this place became the famous and the most visited tourist destination at tidung island and even became an icon of the tidung island. Any visitors who came to the tidung island never miss this place.
When the visitors walked through the bridge, they’ll find the highest side of this bridge. It’s about 7 meters from the sea level with depth of sea bottom is about 4 to 5 meters. The water was very clear and the flow of water was calm. Based on the information from the tour guide who also lived there, I’m not sure whether it’s true or not, it is said that every visitors who jump into the water from this side will find his/her true love as soon as possible. Of course, It needs a brave effort to do such jump. But, just take it as a challenge that you have to conquer for your true love. ;p Just Kidding :D.
Then for the visitors who come with their boyfriend / girlfriend, it is said that the couple who walk together through this bridge, their love will become an eternal love, more romantic day by day. Hehe… For you who looking for prewedding location, I think you’ve found it just now. :D
So, for all of you guys, single or couple, believe that story or not, you are strongly recommended to visit this place. The view is very beautiful.
At the tidung island, You also can find the beautiful beaches such as tanjongan timur beach and tanjung barat beach. The beautiful of these beach was equal to the other famous beach in Indonesia.
Tanjongan Timur beach located in the bridge area. The view, sand and the water of this beach were perfect and fantastic. In the beach area there’s a lot of food and drink stalls. The visitors came to this beach in a big number. They spend a long time here to play and swim.
Travelling to the beach seems incomplete, if the visitors didn’t play in water, feel the cold of water and admire the clearness of the water. Aware of those needs, in this bridge areal there’s also same facilities for water sports such as jet sky, banana boat, canoe and etc. Wow.. It’s really refresh our mind.
Tanjung Barat beach located on the west of Tidung Besar island. Tanjung Barat beach differs from tanjongan timur beach, there’s a few visitors who came here because many visitors didn’t know about this beach, so it looks empty. But, the view was amazing, especially when the sun disappears (sunset). Be ready guys, you’ll be surprised by it’s beauty. This beach was very suitable for the visitors who love quietness. I think play on this beach gave an unique sensation, we (visitors) feel like the owner of this beach because there’s only us in here. :D
If we talked about tourist destination, we cannot ignored about the supporting facilities there, such an accommodation, transportation, etc. The things that the visitors have to know about the accommodation there : it’s really hard to find hotel and cottage there, the visitors usually spend the night at the local citizen house. This is absolutely different from the other famous islands in Indonesia.
Transportation there’s also unique. The visitors go around from one place to the other place by using bicycle. Enjoying the beauty of tidung island by using bicycle was very fantastic. Therefore, the visitors were strongly recommended to rent it from the rent station, there’s so many bicycle that available to rent. The road was made of paving block, so it’s comfortable for biker. Except the way to tanjung barat beach, the visitors passed uneven roads, so some of the visitors found difficulties to pedal bicycle. But, it means nothing compare with the fresh air and the amazing view at the whole way to this beach.
