Can you imagine, going to another country but you don’t know where the tourist destination and how to get there, what their culture, when their special festival, how to communicate with local peoples, etc. So, Here’s Things to do before travelling abroad.
1. Travel Documents
Make sure that your Passport, Visa, and Airplane tickets contain a correct personal data such as the name, place of birth, and date of birth. Check the expire date your Passport and Visa, it must be active. Always bring your Passport and Visa with you during the trips, it is important in case you have a trouble there.
2. Budget estimation
You should estimate the cost that you might spend there. You can googling how much the cost of accommodation, meals, transportation, entry ticket for special festival, souvenir, etc. Then you can go to the money changer for changing Rupiah (Rp) to currency of the destination country. If you out of cash, you can take the money from ATM with Visa and Mastercard logos.
3. Vaccine
You need vaccines to enter some country with a risk of deseases. The aims is to minimize your risks of becoming seriously ill and to protect your health when traveling abroad, remember your health is very important.
4. Search the latest information about the country
When you plan to visit one country, you should search a comprehensive information about
the weather – to know what clothes to bring,
Special festival – to know when is the perfect time to go there,
Local customs – to know what the polite things should do and the rude things shouldn’t do,
Rules – so you can manage your act and react to obey the rules,
Transportation – so you know what kind of transportation and where to buy the tickets,
Local language – so you know a little how to communicate with local people.
5. Maps
You really need maps to explore the city, you can get so many information from the maps such as MRT Station, Bus station, cab stand, and etc. Since you new at that place, do not hesitate to ask direction to the local people in case you lost. Remember do not panic when you get lost, just go to the nearest tourist information.
6. Personal stuff
Don’t forget to bring your personal stuff such as backpack, hair dryer, worship equipment, favourite foods, personal medicine, inverter, and etc. Beside that, i recommend you to buy Local phone number, to minimize the call charges.
