PRECIOUS GIFT FROM GOD

It’s an Amazing feeling to know that there’s a baby in my womb. I think one of the best moment for every women is pregnancy. It’s five months now. My husband also very happy, dad’s feeling. We are expecting a baby after our marriage. We ask to God through our prays. And praise God, for my pregnancy.

My life is changing, there’s not only me that i have to take care of, but my baby too. I must control my nutritions through eat healthy foods and some vitamins to fullfill the need of my self and my baby. There is also some food i should avoid to eat during my pregnancy such as raw meat, alcohol, caffeine, pineapple, sate, durian, and etc. Beside that, now i reduce travelling, especially travel to far destination that took so many hours.

I’ve got a lot of happiness during my pregnancy. Some memorable moment i still remember in my mind, i amaze when i heard my baby’s heartbeat and when i feel my baby’s movement. Sometimes i talk to my baby, i tell about our future plan for my baby. I didn’t realize i smile in my sleep because thinking of my baby. God Bless You, my baby.

‘KOI’ and ‘KOKI’

I love decorative fish, sometimes they’re are not only dancing in the aquarium but also in my mind. There is so many variety of decorative fish, and i have two as my favourite.

The first is Koi fish, i love its colour and i ever heard that Koi fish bring luck for anyone, believe it or not. I really want to have it on my own pond but because of limited space in my house so can’t make it real. One day, i travelled to Bali with my husband, during our vacation we saw a beautiful koi painting, then we bought that painting with a good price. I put it on one side of my house, so everyday i can see it. Hopefully, it will bring luck too for my family.

The second is Koki fish or goldfish, i love the colour and body shape, it has the sexiest stomach, lol. there is also so many variety of goldfish such as common goldfish, black telescope, bubble eye, celestial eye, comet, fantail, lion head, oranda, pearlscale, pompon, ryukin, shubunkin, telescope, ranchu, panda telescope, veiltail, butterfly tail, meteor goldfish, lionchu, egg-fish goldfish, shukin, curled-gill goldfish, tamasaba, tosakin and white telescop. i have few of them in my aquarium. Don’t feed them too often eventhough they always looks hungry. Overfeeding is not good for their health, so keep it balance.

‘KOI’ and ‘KOKI’, similar in world but totally different in size. And i love both of them.

LET'S JUMP HIGH

Traveling is good for our body, mind and soul. Enjoy the picturesque view, exhale fresh air, eat local food, see local culture/tradition and etc. That's make us forget our job/duty for a moment. Most of people do travelling to escape from work, so when they come back to the office, they will have new energy to face it. Sometimes life is like the battery, we need to charge it when it lowbat, but remember to unplug when it's full. :)

Traveling time is a best time to express our happy feelings. Don't shy to scream out or laugh out loud because no one recognize you there. It would be more fun if you can do jumping and make it as high as you can.

Let's jump high, 1-2-3 jump.. Haha... What a great experience.

MOVIE TICKET COLLECTION

I do believe that every people have their own hobby. For me, one of my hobbies is collecting the movie ticket. I started it about 3 years ago, at that time, I and my boyfriend (now is my husband) went to the cinema almost every week, because we loved watching movie. I remembered we watched some good movie such as Big Hero 6, Divergent, 47 Ronin, After Earth, Fast and Furious 6, Kingsman, Avengers age of ultron and etc.

I collected movie ticket from Cineplex 21 and Blitz Megaplex. Both of them are the two larger cinema in Indonesia. But now, all of my movie ticket collection were from Cineplex 21. The movie ticket collection that i got from Blitz Megaplex was broken, because material paper of ticket was not really good and it makes the letter faded.

Hopefully in the future, i can collect more movie ticket. I have a plan to make its frame and put it on the wall of my house. :)

JOGJA TRIP

After long time no holiday, finally we (I and my husband) have a right time and good budget to travel. We choose Jogja as our destination. So, this is my JOGJA TRIP. Firstly, i would like to tell you a little bit about the city.

Yogyakarta well know as Jogja is a capital city of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta/DIY (Special Administrative Region) Province in Indonesia. Jogja famous for arts and culture such as batik, puppet show (pertunjukan wayang), music gamelan, and etc. Jogja also famous as student’s city for there is one of the best university in Indonesia, that is Gadjah Mada University. Beside that, Jogja also called Gudeg City, you can find gudeg almost everywhere in Jogja.

In Indonesian history, Yogyakarta was the Indonesian capital during the Indonesian National Revolution from 1945 to 1949 (after the fall of Jakarta to the Dutch), with Gedung Agung as the president's office. One of the districts in Yogyakarta. Because of its significant contribution to the survival of the Indonesian Republic, Yogyakarta was given the status of Special Administrative Region, making Yogyakarta the only region headed by a monarchy in Indonesia.

Jogja is an interesting city to explore. we start it from Malioboro Street. This street is the most crowded in Jogja, surrounded by so many hotels, shops, and restaurants. Along the street you also can find some artworks, souvenirs and street singers, that’s good for eyes and mind. Near to this street there is Pasar Beringharjo, The oldest market in Jogja. The other unique things is the traditional transportation such as andong (horse-drawn carriage) and becak (pedicab), it’s brings us back to past time. The crowded is not finish yet, at night you will see so many street restaurant called lesehan selling Javanese traditional foods and drinks.
The next day, we went to Candi Borobudur. This place is my number one reason why i travel to Jogja, I admire it since i was a child with hope someday can go there to visit, and it’s happen now. Actually Candi Borobudur located in Magelang, Central Java Province not in Yogyakarta Special Administrative Region but the access is closer from Jogja than Semarang, the capital city of Central Java.

Candi Borobudur is the biggest budhist temple in the world. Borobudur has since been preserved through several restorations. The largest restoration project was undertaken between 1975 and 1982 by the Indonesian government and UNESCO, following which the monument was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Candi Borobudur was once the seven wonders of the world, but not anymore. Candi Borobudur show us Javanese buddhist architecture, it’s very rich and of course magnificent.
After having a great time in Candi Borubudur, the local people recommend us to go to Goa Pindul (Goa means cave), the new tourist destination located in Beriharjo village, Karangmojo, Gunung Kidul district. Goa pindul managed by the local people of Beriharjo village. Goa pindul help their young men to find a new job as a local guide for tourist. Goa Pindul offers cave tubing, the adventure in the river inside a cave using a lifebelt. We can see an active stalactite and stalagmite with the story inside. We also can see the bats living on the top of the cave. The best time come here is at 11 a.m in dry season. Actually, we didn’t know it before. We came at 2 p.m in rainy season and we found the water a little bit dirty because of the rain. But, nice experience.
In the last day, we went to Kraton of Yogyakarta (kraton means palace). Kraton located in the city of Jogja. Long time ago, The Sultan of Yogyakarta and his family lived here. And now, It serve as cultural center for the Javanese people and contained a museum which display the sultanate's artifacts. Then, we continued to bathing complex of taman sari called Umbul Pasiraman. Long time ago, Umbul Pasiraman was a bathing complex for the royal family. There’s the central tower that was used by the Sultan to observe his concubines bathing in the pool.
After that, we went to alun alun utara also named alun alun kidul. Alun alun is a Javanese architectural term for the large central open lawn squares common to villages, towns and cities in Indonesia. There is two banyan tree in the center of alun alun kidul. Local people believe, its bring goodluck when we can pass through road between two tree with blindfolded. Seems interesting, but unfortunately, i can’t try it because of rainy weather. At night, you can riding bike with so many light (its looklike a car) around alun alun kidul. It is fun and relaxing.

Be happy Always.

MY STORY ABOUT 'INDOMIE'

Indomie is a brand of famous noodle in Indonesia. When i was a child i remembered my mother cooked indomie in our leisure time. I love the taste, my family too. Usually, Indomie combined with egg, tomato and some vegetables. Then when i was in college, i live far away from my parents, sometimes I and my friends confused in what to eat, but we always agree each other to cooked indomie, don’t know why, .

After graduated from college and found job in Jakarta, i lived in a rented house with my friends. Sometimes we went to warteg and ordered indomie. We share and laugh each other while eating indomie. Now, I and my husband also cooked indomie in our leisure time, but not very often. The taste is good but eating it very often will not good for our health. May be we can eat it twice a month or less than it. Just eat when you really want it and don’t make it as your daily menu.

Every people may be have its own way to enjoy eating indomie. I would like to tell you that eating indomie in tourist destination also has it own sensation. Two years ago, I remembered ate indomie with family in one of restaurant near Toba lake. The good taste combined with the beautiful view, fresh air, hospitality of local people make it perfect. Btw, my family took this picture. It’s delicious, right ? 

Enjoy every moment of our life, because our life is very precious.

Fried Frog

Most of people are familiar to fried chicken which we can find easily almost in every restaurants or food stalls. But, Fried frog... Hmm... Is a different case. May be for some people, "fried frog" sounds weird. I also feel that at the first time. Fried frog ? What?....

Until, one day, on sunday after church, I and my husband went to chinese restaurant in Bekasi. When we ordered the menu, my husband said to me : "how if we ordered fried frog, i've tried it once, and it's delicious". Then i said : what, how could you do that? Frog is disgusting.

My husband insist to order fried frog and he said : you should try it, if you don't like it, just stop it". We argue each other, then i said : Ok, you can order it, but please don't give it to me". Finally, we ordered fried frog as one of our lunch menu.

Then, fried frog is coming and when i looked at it, it's not as what i'm thinking. It has good smell and the display is good. I still scary to eat it, but on the other side i'm curious about the taste. Then, i encourage my self to taste it. And, wow the taste is so delicious, it's like chicken, very soft and very sweet. I think i should try it again.

ANGKLUNG, INDONESIAN HERITAGE

At the first time i heard the sound of angklung, i was amazed. How can something made from bamboo produce a beautiful sound. No doubt, nowadays it’s became very famous all over Southeast Asia and also to the world. The Origin of anklung come from West Java, Indonesia. Angklung describe the richness of sundanese ethnic tradition and culture.
I rembered when i joined the capacity building training programme, I learned a lot about values of teamwork from Angklung. Angklung will produce a very great harmony if we play in team. Every member of the team has it’s own role. There’s also a mutual respect for every member. If one member do not play it as it should be, It will affect the performamce of the team. Even small things also important.
Angklung officially recognized as Indonesian Heritage by UNESCO On November 18, 2010, as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, and encourage Indonesian people and government to safeguard, transmit, promote performances and to encourage the craftsmanship of angklung making.

If you interested to see angklung show and want to know more about angklung, you can come to Saung Angklung Udjo in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Saung Angklung Udjo is one of the angklung culture preservation center.

Culture is an identity.
Let’s keep appreciate it.

TOURIST SOUVENIRS

Talking about beautiful places (tourist destinations) is uncomplete without give a comment on its souvenirs. The Souvenir existence have an important role to develope tourism. It will gives the good memories to the tourists after arrive at home, each time they see it, they will remember the place. So, there is a needs to put some effort to design it as unique as it can. It should have a original characteristic of the place which different from other places.

I travelled to some places in Indonesia or abroad, then I found that mostly every place has its own unique souvenir. West Java has anklung, Lombok has pearl, Jogja has batik, Medan has ulos, Bali has kain rangrang, China has chopstick for decoration, Singapore has tiger balm, Malaysia has Twin Tower miniature and etc.

I also found that some souvenirs design have similarities one to another, they just change the name and the picture of the place, such as Magnetic fridge, T-Shirt, Key chain, Nail cutter, Postcard Pencils, Pens, coin purse, Mugs or shot glasses, Picture frame, Miniatur Figurines, Bag, Dolls, Pins and etc.

You can choose the best souvenir that suit for you from the list above or even a picture is also souvenir. I have just read this proverb and it might reminds us for always bring a camera during the travelling time : “Be like a photographer. Get your vision right, keep yourself focus, zoom in on your goals & you'll capture success that'll become a souvenir (By David)”.

souvenir is memory,
Let’s hunt souvenir!
